Erek Ladd is a multi-passionate creative, with experience as an audio engineer, musician, and content creator. Originally hailing from the US, Erek’s work has taken him across the globe working in recording studios, behind the camera, and more recently, in the living rooms of his dedicated YouTube and Twitch audiences. After 10 years of calling Australia home, Erek is currently in the upstate New York region, where he spends his time as both a dedicated husband and dad, avid video game collector, and a hard-working creative.

Having previously owned and operated a thriving recording studio, Erek’s engineering and production experiences have spanned far and wide, working with the likes of Fr Rob Galea, Beatemups, and Heine House Entertainment, to name a few. Much of Erek’s work is in the field of audio engineering (recording, as well as pre- and post-production), having produced multiple podcasts and records for himself and clients alike.

In addition to engineering and production, Erek is also a multi-skilled musician, specialising in bass, drums and guitar, all of which he has been playing from an early age. Erek has worked with multiple well-known video game content creators and video game developers on the composition of jingles and soundtracks, with his most notable contributions being featured in the arcade-style racer, Hotshot Racing, and wave-based shooter, Horizon Shift. His most treasured endeavour to date however involves his own personal project, Retro Game Remix, where he is dedicated to breathing new life into classic video game songs through full band covers and modernized mixes. He has 
released multiple projects on vinyl, with his most recent works distributed by Troggo Studio.

Erek is also the creator and host of the Turn Based gaming podcast which airs on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts to an engaged and loyal audience. With this same spirit, he has cultivated a wholesome and supportive community in his Discord who all chat on the daily. Erek loves being part of the gaming and music communities, and thrives on creating content for both the young and young-at-heart to enjoy.

Erek’s services and passions go behind just working with those in the gaming space however, with clients spanning across the business, marketing and lifestyle industries. He has worked on podcasts and YouTube channels producing content in graphic design, religion, sobriety, coaching and more.
